Nutrafol is kinda pricey. Your progress is great so I would probably just ask your doctor for labs and then just buy whatever you are deficient in like for example iron or Vit D etc etc. Are you on any antiandrogens like spiro?

I’ve had my labs and I was deficient in Vit D but my dr just told me to take another dose of the one I’m already taking. And
my thyroid was stable but on the high end of normal. We will recheck 6 months from that appt.
My derm was really pushing PRP and I wasn’t comfortable with that so I didn’t go back as far as hair loss goes. I still see her for my spiro (100mg) and treat but not my hair. I was going to see another derm about it but since it seems to be going well I’m gonna hold off on that.

I’ve just seen a lot of people say that it isn’t effective in the long term. You have to keep doing it, it’s considered a cosmetic procedure. I want things that have a proven track record. PRP is $600 a session for me and I would need 2 or 3 to start, plus continuing the use of minox forever.
If I exhausted every other avenue I might be open to trying it but not right now. I kind of felt like my derm was pushing it a little hard, and then afterward I read a few posts about how it’s possibly just used as a money making venture for cosmetic med spas.
From the search I did on this sub I think a couple people said it helped but the majority said they saw no change. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones it works for!

Genetic unfortunately. My mom is completely bald in the front but it started at her temples, like mine. She’s in her 70’s now. My sister lost a lot of her hair as well and my grandmother too.

That's amazing congrats!! do you have a diagnosisi btw? This hair loss preferentially on the sides is what I have too and is not the normal AGA thinning pattern as far as I'm aware. Curious if you have more info about it from your doc?
